Julie Bergeron is a graduate of Hartford Art School and a life-long Connecticut resident. Julie majored in painting and art history, and has been making art her whole life. In recent years, she has been practicing her hand at pottery. She dabbles in wheel thrown forms in porcelain and stoneware, and loves adding hand-painted embellishments to her work. During the day, Julie runs an entrepreneurial arts program for Hartford youth, with a focus on public art and murals. She has lead over 20 mural projects throughout the community, employing the participation and skills of hundreds of teen artists. In her free time, Julie loves cooking, swimming, traveling and learning Spanish.
Mary is a graduate of Middlesex Community College where she earned her Associates in Fine Art. She continued her education at Sacred Heart University earning a Bachelor’s in Illustration. From a very early age she developed a passion for art, painting, drawing, creating anything she could. She is a skilled painter in many mediums; watercolors, acrylics and oils and also graphite. She paints portraits and landscapes and her talents extend to ceramics, mosaics and glass painting. Teaching art has always been a joy of hers and she is thrilled to be a part of the Scene Art Bar teaching staff.
Katie Mack was born and raised in Central Connecticut, and has been a professional mural artist for five years. While her interests are wide ranging, having received her bachelors in History, and participating in a variety of extreme sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding and rock climbing, she has been painting and drawing professionally all along. Now she is 27 years old, apprenticing to be a tattoo artist and continuing to paint murals, she finds great enjoyment and a great challenge in becoming a self-supporting artist and she is enjoying every minute of it! Her paint night classes are lively and engaging as she has a background in outdoor education, and she enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life.
