April Raymond says she’s “unartistic,” but the Unionville resident has nevertheless opened the town’s first art bar. Scene Art Bar is slated to open in early February, and will offer art classes along with beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. “It allows you artistic freedom because you are in a casual and social atmosphere,” she said. “The pressure isn’t there to produce a Picasso.”

Imagine sipping a glass of wine or drinking a mug of beer while learning to paint, make jewelry, arrange flowers or scrapbook, then bringing home an original creation of your own. Scene Art Bar, which is slated to open in January in the old Upson Nuts and Bolts factory on Mill Street in Unionville, will afford such opportunities, according to co-owner, April Raymond.
